Talent for Hospice, an annual talent show for school-aged children hosted by the Friends of Calvert Hospice, seeks acts for show held on Saturday, August 2 at 3 p.m. at Huntingtown High School.
Talents may include anything you think is entertaining. However, due to safety concerns, no gymnastics or stunts are permitted. Registration is required. Talent for Hospice is organized in memory of Brianna Perry, a three year old girl who loved to tap dance. She was diagnosed with Wilm’s Tumor, a cancer of the kidneys, in October of 2000. Even through her difficult radiation and chemotherapy treatments, tap class was one of Brianna’s joys. Brianna passed away on February 24, 2001. The show is organized by Brianna’s family as a celebration of her life.
