The Maryland State Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating a case of arson in Hughesville.
Thirty firefighters from Waldorf, Mechanicsville, and Hughesville responded to a house fire at 14205 Stamp Place in Charles County on Jan. 24 around 12:34 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-story wood framed single family home ablaze. It took firefighters about 10 minutes to bring the fire under control.
The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
The preliminary cause of the fire is arson. Anyone with information about this fire is asked to call the Office of the State Fire Marshall at (443) 550-6832.
