On November 20, 2011, deputies responded to a residence on Mervell Dean Road in Hollywood, Maryland, for a report of assault. Investigation revealed Dino Anthony Pierotti, 49, of Hollywood, Maryland, assaulted two victims within the residence. Both victims fled prior to police arrival. When police arrived, Pierotti had fortified himself within the residence refusing to come out. St. Mary’s County Emergency Services Team and the Crisis Incident Negotiator Team were called to the scene. After several hours of negotiating with Pierotti, he exited the residence and was arrested. He was charged with two counts of second degree assault.
