Thursday, August 2 – Oyster Wars Talk
Captain Gregory Bartles, Lieutenant Commander and DNR historian will give a talk on the Oyster Wars and Cannon currently on display in the lobby through September at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. FREE.
Friday, August 3 – First Free Friday
The museum is open and free to the public from 5:00 โ 8:00 p.m. Navy Cruisers will perform on the outdoor stage starting at 7:00 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and a picnic supper. Docents will be in every gallery talking about the exhibits. Visit Drum Point Lighthouse and enjoy 30-minute boat rides on the Wm. B. Tennison sponsored by M&T Bank. FREE.

Sunday, August 5 – National Lighthouse Day
Celebrate National Lighthouse Day at the Calvert Marine Museum as both the Drum Point Lighthouse and Cove Point Lighthouse will be open for tours from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cove Point is free; museum admission is required to see the Drum Point Lighthouse. The Museum Store will highlight special lighthouse merchandise, and there will be a lighthouse juried art show in the lobby.
