On Friday, February 16, 2007 at 3:34 pm, TFC Linger & Tpr. Evans observed a black Pontiac Firebird on Rt. 245 in Leonardtown following another vehicle too closely.
A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Robert Lake Laquay, 21, of Lexington Park and a 20 year old female of Hollywood.
Marijuana was observed in plain view on the center console.
A search incident to the arrest revealed a cellophane bag of marijuana and a plastic straw with cocaine residue were located in the vehicle.
The female passenger was released at the scene.
Mr. Laquay was arrested for possession of marijuana, cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
