Detectives from the St. Maryโs County Bureau of Criminal Investigations initiated an investigation regarding several burglaries to local businesses and construction sites throughout St. Maryโs County. ย
These burglaries resulted in the theft of various amounts of copper wire, copper piping, tools, electronics and work equipment having a value in excess of $120,000.
Following a three month long investigation involving burglaries in several jurisdictions throughout Maryland and Virginia a search and seizure warrant was executed on March 2, 2011 in Suitland, Prince Georgeโs County, by St. Maryโs County BCI detectives with the assistance of detectives from Prince Georgeโs County, District 4 Station. ย
Antonio G. Wyatt, 34, of Suitland, was arrested without incident at the residence. ย Several stolen items were recovered from burglaries which were committed in Virginia. ย Wyatt was charged with 5 counts of second degree burglary, 3 counts of theft over $1000, 2 counts of theft over $10,000, 1 count of theft scheme over $100,000. ย He is incarcerated in the St. Maryโs County Detention Center under a $75,000 bond. Additional charges may be forthcoming following a Stateโs Attorney review. ย
