Detectives from the St. Maryโ€™s County Bureau of Criminal Investigations initiated an investigation regarding several burglaries to local businesses and construction sites throughout St. Maryโ€™s County. ย 

These burglaries resulted in the theft of various amounts of copper wire, copper piping, tools, electronics and work equipment having a value in excess of $120,000.

Following a three month long investigation involving burglaries in several jurisdictions throughout Maryland and Virginia a search and seizure warrant was executed on March 2, 2011 in Suitland, Prince Georgeโ€™s County, by St. Maryโ€™s County BCI detectives with the assistance of detectives from Prince Georgeโ€™s County, District 4 Station. ย 

Antonio G. Wyatt, 34, of Suitland, was arrested without incident at the residence. ย Several stolen items were recovered from burglaries which were committed in Virginia. ย Wyatt was charged with 5 counts of second degree burglary, 3 counts of theft over $1000, 2 counts of theft over $10,000, 1 count of theft scheme over $100,000. ย He is incarcerated in the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center under a $75,000 bond. Additional charges may be forthcoming following a Stateโ€™s Attorney review. ย
