White Plains, MD โ€“ An armored money truck overturned into a tree on Billingsley Road late this morning, leading to a major emergency response. The crash occurred near 8710 Billingsley Road, shutting down the roadway in both directions between Bensville Road and Marylea Court.

Emergency units confirmed that two individuals were trapped inside the vehicle, requiring extrication. A 26-year-old male in the front sustained a suspected broken arm, while a 57-year-old male in the rear of the truck was also injured.

Adding to the emergency, a firefighter was injured during the rescue operation. A medevac helicopter was requested to transport the firefighter and one of the crash victims to area trauma centers.

Hazardous materials teams responded to the scene to handle a diesel fuel spill caused by the crash.
