Solomons Island, MD – Boaters ended up in the water after a crash Saturday morning in the Patuxent River near Solomons Island.
Around 10:15 a.m. there was a crash near buoy marker 6A and people were ejected into the water. A private boat was able to assist the people in the water.
First responders from Solomons Company 3 and Calvert Rescue Dive Team were already on the scene providing boater safety at the dragon boat races. They were able to respond instantly.
One person was injured.
