At 11:10 a.m. May 9 Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 3700 block of Dr. Samuel Mudd Road in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed a 1997 Chevrolet box truck driven by Christopher Clinton, 27, of Baltimore was traveling south on Dr. Samuel Mudd Road when he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle crossed the center line, struck a ditch and rolled over on its side. The truck leaked a small amount of diesel fuel onto the roadside; it was also carrying several gallons of a liquid chemical solvent which did not leak.
The Maryland Department of Environment, the Charles County Hazmat team and fire department personnel responded to the scene. Cpl. K. Wilson investigated.
Clinton was not injured.
