The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland will be hosting a performing arts fundraiser at Great Mills High School on April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. The event consists of performances by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maryland members.
Spring Ridge will bring their Rhythm Club, which consists of making rhythm with buckets and tubs. Spring Ridgeโs dance team will also perform.ย Park Hallโs Rhythm Club will be utilizing African drums, step, dance, and cheer. Lexington Parkโs and Green Hollyโs Rhythm Clubs will be performing step routines. Carverโs Rhythm Club performance will be an element of surprise! Admission for adults is $5, Students $3, and children under ten are free.
BGCSMโs Rhythm Clubs performances have completely filled up rooms with audiences because of their array of dance, rhythm, and art.ย It is a must see event! Phi Beta Sigma fraternity Delta Mu Chapter will also be performing at the event.
BGCSM is a youth organization which seeks to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.ย BGCSM currently has five sites operating in St. Maryโs County and two in Calvert County.
The jointly operated St. Maryโs County Public Schools and Boys & Girls Club of Southern Maryland after school program is made possible by a grant from the Maryland State Department of Education and the 21st Century Community Learning Center program.
