Christmas began early for Brandon Moore, guest service agent at Country Inn and Suites in Lexington Park.ย On December 20,ย Historic St. Maryโs City (HSMC) Director of Marketing Susan Wilkinson surprised Moore with a cash reward for leading returns in the museumโs Hotels to Historic promotion.ย
The program recruits hotel front-line staff as ambassadors for HSMC by educating them about the museum, offering free visits, and arming them with public relations material, including discount coupons to share with hotel guests.ย โ Brandonโs name appeared on the greatest number of coupons redeemed by visitors.โย noted Wilkinson.ย ย โWe know that word of mouth is the most effective marketing tool we have.ย Enlisting the hospitality industry to help us get word about the museum to potential visitors just makes sense.โย ย
