NEWBURG, Md. – A serious motor vehicle accident occurred in the area of 13615 Rock Point Road on March 23, 2024, around 9:45 p.m. Emergency personnel responded to multiple calls, including an On-Star alert from a 2016 Cadillac.
Upon arrival, crews found the Cadillac overturned on its roof after striking a tree. The driver was injured, but there was no entrapment. EMS evaluated the patient on the scene and requested a MEDEVAC due to the severity of the injuries.
Firefighters secured a landing site nearby at the Piccowaxen Community Center for Maryland State Police, Trooper 7. The patient was then airlifted to UM Capital Region Trauma Center for treatment.
