The managers of Bayside Chevrolet/Toyota in Prince Frederick continued their long-time Christmas tradition of aiding the local Kiwanis Club to make Christmas possible for deserving families. On Wednesday morning, Dec. 21 Bayside President and General Manager Geoff Wanamaker presented a check for $5,900 to members of the Kiwanis Club of Calvert County.

According to Wanamaker, Baysideโ€™s contribution is based on the number of vehicles it sold in November.

The club members find deserving area families and, using the funds provided by Bayside, shops for them. The Kiwanis Club members then deliver the presents to the selected families.

The dealership and the club began their yuletide partnership in 1993. During that time, Bayside, with the aid of their customers, has provided over $77,000 in support of the program.

โ€œWe just provide the funds,โ€ Wanamaker stated. โ€œThe Kiwanis Club does all the work of finding families and shopping for them. We would not be able to do this without the help of the Kiwanis Club.โ€

โ€œWeโ€™re always happy to help,โ€ said Bayside Dealer Principal Frank Meador.

The Kiwanis Clubโ€™s international motto is โ€œServing the Children of the World.โ€

The Kiwanis Club of Calvert County meets Wednesdays at the Greene Turtle in Prince Frederick.
