The Calvert County Board of Education adjusted the school calendar to change the last day of school for students and employees.
The Board of Education built five days into the 2008-09 school calendar for use as snow, weather or emergency days. This school year, schools were closed three days due to inclement weather.
Therefore, unless there is a highly unusual weather event or some other unexpected circumstance, the last day of school for pre-kindergarten students will be Thursday, June 11; for students in kindergarten through grade 11, the last day of school will be Friday, June 12, (a 2-hour early dismissal day); and for high school seniors the last day of school will be Friday, May 15.
For parents of HS students, if a high school senior needs to take one or more of the High School Assessment tests, he/she will need to take the test(s) during the week of May 18.
