North Beach, Prince Frederick and Solomons
Eating fresh and eating local will be easier than ever this year at four Calvert County farmers markets.
Offering a host of Southern Maryland produce, the Calvert County markets will open the first week of May on the following schedule:
- Tuesdays in Prince Frederick at Calvert Memorial Hospital
Parking lot adjacent to Route 2/4
3-7 p.m. May 7-Nov. 26
- Thursdays in Solomons
Parking lot adjacent to the Riverwalk
4-8 p.m. May 2-Nov. 21
- Fridays in North Beach
5th Street and 7th Street and Bay Avenue
6-9 p.m. May 3-Oct. 4
- Saturdays in Prince Frederick
Calvert Fairgrounds (Barstow)
7:30 a.m.-noon May 4-Nov. 23
Late spring markets include items like bedding plants (vegetable, herbs and flowers), hanging baskets and tasty salad greens, asparagus, kale and strawberries. Markets will include many of the favorite vendors from last year with plenty of fresh produce, baked goods, seafood and cut flowers.
