Debbie Jennings, Coordinator, Calvert County Traffic Safety Council, released the following information Wednesday:
Total Fatal Crashes: 13
Total Fatalities 15 (we’ve had two double fatal crashes)
Young Driver Fatal Crashes: 4 (this is a crash where a young driver was involved and under the age of 21)
Young Driver Fatalities: 5 (this is the total number of persons killed where a young driver was involved in a crash)
Young Impaired Driver Fatal Crashes: 2 (Where the at-fault driver is under age 21 and was impaired by drugs/alcohol)
Young Impaired Driver Fatalities: 2 (The total number of fatalities where the at-fault driver was impaired by drugs/alcohol)
Motorcycle Fatal Crashes: 5
Motorcycle Fatalities: 5
Impaired Motorcycle Fatal Crashes: 3
Impaired Motorcycle Fatalities: 3
Impaired Driver Fatal Crashes: 6
Impaired Driver Fatalities: 7
Impaired Driver Arrests (DUI’s): 731
Impaired Young Driver Arrests (DUI’s): 68 (under age 21)
