Peeping Tom in Lusby

Cpl. Anthony Moschetto responded to Sagebrush Drive in Lusby at 6:41 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23 to investigate a call for a burglary in progress.ย  While enroute to the call, it was reported that the suspect had fled.ย  Upon arrival, the victim told Cpl. Moschetto that when she awoke she noticed a white male standing on her deck looking into her window.ย  The victim screamed and the suspect fled on foot. Cpl. Moschetto is continuing the investigation.

Sobriety Checkpoint Arrests

Cpl. Anthony Moschetto conducted a Sobriety Checkpoint on H.G. Trueman Rd. in Lusby on Saturday, Sept. 24.ย  At 5:46 p.m. he stopped a vehicle for failure to yield the right-of-way to oncoming traffic and detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver of the vehicle.ย  Cpl. Moschetto administered several field sobriety tests and determined that the driver was intoxicated.ย  He subsequently arrested Lewis Dwight Donaldson, 62, of Lusby, for Driving Under the Influence.

At the same Sobriety Checkpoint, Cpl. Moschetto later observed a white truck cross the white shoulder line twice.ย  At 10:45 p.m. he activated his emergency equipment and stopped the vehicle in question.ย  After determining that the driver was intoxicated, by conducting field sobriety tests, he arrested Tara Ann Wood, 36, of Lusby, for Driving Under the Influence.

At 11:45 p.m. that same evening, Cpl. Moschetto observed a 2-wheel electric personal mobility device, a Segway, that was barely visible from 50 feet.ย  Additionally, the Segway was โ€œzigzaggingโ€ back and forth and abruptly made a right turn.ย  He activated his emergency equipment and made contact with the operator.ย  Cpl. Moschetto conducted several field sobriety tests and determined the operator, Kenneth Robert Langley, 46, of Solomons was intoxicated.ย  Mr. Langley was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.ย 

Thief Raids Neighborhoodโ€™s Cars

On Sept. 27, at 6:45 a.m., Dep. M.A. Jones responded to Deerfield Road in Lusby for a reported theft from a vehicle.ย  The victim advised that sometime during the night, unknown suspects stole numerous CDโ€™s from her vehicle.ย  While there, Dep. Jones was contacted by a neighbor who reported that a purse was taken from her vehicle during the night as well. This case is open and under investigation.

Scratcher

A victim on Sycamore Road in Lusby called police on Sept. 26 at 7:00 a.m. to report damage to her vehicle overnight.ย  Deputy M. A. Jones responded and determined that someone had scratched the victimโ€™s car.ย  The case is open and remains under investigation.
