Prince Frederick, MD – On Sunday, Sept. 28 at approximately 4:35 p.m., a pursuit of six sport-bike style motorcycles was initiated by Dfc. Velasquez and Deputy Buck on Route 2/4 in the St. Leonard area.

The motorcycles were traveling in excess of 100 mph.  Deputy Ward pulled in front of the motorcycles as they approached Route 2/4 and the south entrance of Main Street in Prince Frederick.

The motorcycles then split up, with two turning down Main Street, two making a U-turn and going back south on Route 2/4, and one continuing north on Route 2/4. Ward, along with other units continued to pursue the motorcycle that continued north on Route 2/4.  Units lost sight of that motorcycle and the pursuit was terminated.

A short time later, a citizen called the sheriff’s office and advised that they had witnessed the pursuit and saw one of the motorcycles involved in the pursuit turn into the trailer park at the end of German Chapel Road.

Units responded to German Chapel Road and contacted the suspect. Ward was able to identify the motorcycle and the suspect as being one of the cyclists that made a U-turn and went back south on Route 2/4.

The suspect was identified as David Anthony Madison II, 24 of Westminster.    Madison was run through field sobriety tests and performed poorly.  He was arrested for driving under the influence.
