WALDORF, Md. — A new sweet spot is coming to St. Charles Towne Center as Candy Express, spearheaded by Kris Medley, owner of Action Jaxx, an indoor play space, prepares to launch a fun-filled candy experience this spring.
Medley envisions Candy Express as a destination similar to Candy Kitchen and IT’SUGAR National Harbor, featuring a bright, lively atmosphere stocked with bulk candy and more than 100 varieties of packaged treats.
“We want to create a fun, engaging candy experience that brings something new to Charles County,” Medley said. “Families shouldn’t have to travel far for these kinds of experiences, and we want to help invest in our local community.”
Located in the former GameStop space near the food court, Candy Express is currently undergoing renovations. Plans include opening in mid-April, with a grand opening slated no later than May 1. Grand opening week will feature special promotions, inviting the community to experience the store firsthand.
“We strive to create kid-friendly experiences and bring something innovative to the area,” Medley said. “It’s about offering a fun and unique twist on the traditional candy store for the community.”
In addition to the brick-and-mortar store, a mobile version of Candy Express is expected to debut within six months, allowing families to book the mobile candy trailer for parties and events.
