WALDORF, Md. – A Capitol Police officer was airlifted to a trauma center following a serious motorcycle accident late Friday night in Waldorf.

On March 29, 2024, at approximately 10:58 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motorcycle crash in the 6000 block of Hampshire Circle.

The 911 caller, who identified himself as the officer, reported that he had hit a curb and was unable to feel his legs.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found the officer with a femur fracture and immediately requested a medical evacuation. Firefighters set up a landing zone at William B. Wade Elementary School for the Maryland State Police Aviation Command, Trooper 2.

The 25-year-old officer was transported by air to the UM Capital Region Trauma Center for treatment.
