UPDATE From Theย Office of the State Fire Marshal:ย A passing motorist discovered the fire. It was determined to be accidentally caused by a mechanical malfunction in the boiler.ย  The fire caused significant damage to the restaurant and its contents. Smoke alarm status was present, and activated.ย  Fire Alarm / Sprinkler was not present. Firefighters had the fire under control in 35 Minutes.

Lexington Park, MD – Onย  April 3, 2020 at approximately 7:00 AM police, fire, and rescue responded to Captain Pat’s Seafoodย  at 21901 Three Notch Road in Lexington Park, for a reported structure fire. Once arrived the restaurant was engulfed in flames.

The cause is unknown at this time. Pending Fire Marshal report.

No injuries have been reported.
