DUNKIRK, Md. – The Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a vehicle from Friday night in Dunkirk.
On Sept. 14 around 10:46 p.m., a passerby in Dunkirk discovered a vehicle on fire and abandoned on Route 4 and Ward Road and called 911. Units from the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department responded and had the scene under control within five minutes.
Further investigation revealed the vehicle make and model to be a 2014 Honda Accord and the cause to be incendiary. The cost of damage is estimated to be $15,000.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
