LA PLATA, Md. — Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) is helping high school seniors and their families take the guesswork out of college planning by centralizing key resources for scholarships and financial aid—both online and in person.
The Charles County Scholarship Fund application is now open through Sunday, March 1, 2026, giving eligible CCPS seniors access to more than 75 local scholarships through one streamlined form. In addition, CCPS will host a Scholarship and Financial Aid Fair on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at St. Charles High School in Waldorf. The event will connect students with scholarship providers, college representatives, and financial aid experts, with breakout sessions held every 15 minutes.
The CCPS College and Career Readiness portal also features a variety of tools to help students with post-secondary planning. Resources include:
- Career exploration programs
- Scholarship search engines
- College application planning tools
- Information on Maryland colleges and universities
- ACT test prep and guidance
By using both the in-person fair and the online resource hub, students and families can more easily stay on track with deadlines, complete applications, and access the support they need to plan for life after graduation.
