WALDORF, MD – On Friday, the CCSO family said farewell to a great guy and outstanding Correctional Officer. Sergeant Raymond Boelke is retiring after serving a total of over 23 years in the Corrections Division.
Sgt. Boelke began his career with CCSO in 1997. After leaving for a short time in 1999, he returned in August of 2000. During his career, Sgt. Boelke worked in Custody and Security and also in Transport. His proudest accomplishment was working for the line staff on the Collective Bargaining team, which helped to secure many benefits for Corrections Officers.
In his life outside of the walls of the Detention Center, he is “a husband to a beautiful, supportive wife, Ann, and father of three beautiful daughters: Ashley, Lexi and Emma. I have three wonderful grandkids. I plan to make all of the family events now that shift work is a thing of my past. I will be finding my second career, and putting more emphasis on family time and life enjoyment.”
Congratulations on an outstanding career, Sergeant Boelke. We are going to miss you. Enjoy that beautiful family of yours and remember that you are always part of our family, too!
