ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Cardinal Hickey Academy’s 8th Grade class traveled to Annapolis on Tuesday, March 13 in support of the 2018 Nonpublic School Advocacy Day.
Students learned about the state capitol, advocated in support of private schools and met with Senator Mike Miller. Among other initiatives, supporters backed expanded tuition assistance for students and families. This includes the State of Maryland’s BOOST Scholarship Program initiated in 2016.
Cardinal Hickey Academy is a regional Montessori Prek and K-8th grade Catholic School located in Owings, Maryland and a part of the Archdiocese of Washington. We serve northern Calvert and southern Anne Arundel counties. Supporting parishes include the Covenant Community of Jesus the Good Shepherd, St. Anthony’s in North Beach and Jesus the Devine Word.
