
LA PLATA, Md. — La Plata author and poet Lori Joseph has been accepted into the prestigious International Sea Glass Festival in Mystic, Connecticut. The festival, which historically attracts more than 8,000 attendees from across the globe, will be held July 25-26 at the Mystic Seaport Museum.
Joseph, a member of the Maryland Writers Association, will be featuring her first novella, Sea Glass, at the festival. Sea Glass is a story that explores resilience, hope and the hidden—and sometimes surprising—currents of connectivity that bind us.
Joseph’s poems and writings have been the subject of two previous books: My Embrace and Seventy-Five; Connectivity Through the Ages. She has also been published in numerous anthologies and magazines in print and online.
