LA PLATA, Md. — The Charles County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the official slate of candidates for election to the 2026–2028 Board of Directors, in accordance with the Chamber’s bylaws.

Earlier this fall, Chamber members in good standing were invited to self-nominate for consideration. Returned ballots will be reviewed by the 2025 Board Selection Committee and forwarded to the full Board of Directors for verification and approval.

Elected Directors will serve a three-year term beginning January 2026.

Caprice Brown
Executive Director, University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center Foundation

Caprice Brown brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience focused on health equity, food and housing security, disability inclusion, and workforce development. He has built successful national partnerships, secured sustainable funding, and expanded service capacity for underserved communities across multiple states.

Kelvinda Kamara
Co-Founder, K&I HealthCare Services, LLC

A dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Kelvinda Kamara has over 20 years of experience in clinical operations and executive healthcare leadership. She co-founded multiple medical and wellness practices, leading efforts to expand accessible care, build multi-location service models, and strengthen health equity initiatives.

Adrienne Somerville
CEO, Somerville Consulting Group

A senior federal executive at NAVAIR, Adrienne Somerville oversees a workforce of 4,000 personnel, manages major national programs, and directs a $263 million budget. She is recognized for leadership in strategic planning, industrial capability development, talent management, and public-private partnership innovation.

Cassie Stillwell
Branch Manager, Shore United Bank

Cassie Stillwell serves as Branch Manager II of Shore United Bank’s La Plata branch, where she oversees operations across multiple locations and has earned numerous Value Champion Awards for excellence. She is a Town of Indian Head Councilwoman, Rotary Club member, and local business co-owner dedicated to community and economic growth.

Ashley Branch Wade
CEO, Branching Out Solutions, LLC

Ashley Branch Wade is a licensed Maryland Realtor® and founder of Branching Out Solutions, LLC, providing contract and administrative support to real estate professionals throughout the region. With an MBA from UMGC and a background in government acquisitions, she brings strong organizational expertise and a commitment to strengthening local families and businesses.


Voting Procedures

Voting opens Monday, November 17, 2025, and closes at the end of business on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
Only four (4) Board seats are available. The top four vote-getters will form the 2026–2028 Board Class.

  • Ballots will be emailed only to the PRIMARY CONTACT of each member organization.
  • Member organizations must be in good standing to vote.
  • Each eligible organization may submit one ballot.
  • Completed ballots must be returned electronically by December 3, 2025 (COB).

Election results will first be shared with the Board Selection Committee, followed by the Board of Directors. Candidates with the top votes will be contacted directly.

The official announcement of the 2026–2028 Board Class will take place at the December 4, 2025 Chamber Holiday Mixer, followed by a public announcement via social media and e-blast.
