LA PLATA, Md. — Charles County Government continues to host in-person community meetings aimed at shaping the county’s Climate Action Plan — a strategy to address climate change, improve resilience and inform future infrastructure and policy decisions.
The meetings feature a short presentation at 6 p.m., followed by interactive feedback stations until 7:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend and share input on local climate priorities. Light refreshments are provided, and while registration is encouraged, it is not required.
Residents still have three chances to participate:
- Thursday, May 1, at Indian Head Village Green Pavilion (100 Walter Thomas Road, Indian Head)
- Tuesday, May 6, at Nanjemoy Community Center (4375 Port Tobacco Road, Nanjemoy)
- Thursday, May 8, at Newburg Volunteer Fire Department (12245 Rock Point Road, Newburg)
