Celebrate Charles County’s 350th Anniversary by participating in a photo scavenger hunt involving sites in Charles County. Stop by the Nanjemoy Community Center August 1 through 25 to pick up the list of scavenger hunt locations and the rules for the contest. Then head out and start snapping your photos.
This is a great project for individuals or the entire family! The event is open to all ages. The registration deadline is August 25, and the deadline to submit your photos is September 8, 6:30pm.
You take the pictures based on the Nanjemoy Community Center clues! Photos may be presented printed or on a photo CD. Submitted photos must be originals taken for this contest. To participate, complete the registration form and submit to any Community Center or the Department of Community Services no later than August 25.
You can receive your clues by email. Just email webmail@charlescounty.org with “Scavenger Hunt Clues” in the subject line and you’ll get a response with the clues.
Join the Center September 8, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., to submit your photo entry and enjoy free refreshments while staff review the entries. The person or family with the most correct or accurate photo submissions will win a prize. In the event of a tie, a winner will be chosen at random from eligible entries.
