Charles County Recreation and Partnerships for a Healthier Charles County to Host 5K

Join the inaugural 5K run/walk sponsored by Charles County Recreation and Partnerships for a Healthier Charles County’s chronic disease prevention team on Saturday, Oct. 20 at La Plata High School (6035 Radio Station Road, La Plata) starting at 8 a.m.  Registration begins at 7 a.m.

The 5K will start and finish in the La Plata High School parking lot next to the football field.  Runners will enjoy scenic trails around Tilghman Lake and Laurel Springs before returning to La Plata High School via Radio Station Road.

Registration is $25 until Monday, Oct. 8 for adults age 18 and older.  Registration will be $30 after Oct. 8.  For individuals age 18 and under, and each additional family member, registration cost is $10.
