WALDORF, Md. – The Charles County Sheriff’s Office announced the automated speed enforcement cameras will be in the following school zones for the weeks of July 21 and July 28:

  • Indian Head Hwy. at Smallwood Middle School
  • Marshall Corner Rd. at McDonough High School
  • Leonardtown Rd. at Grace Christian Academy
  • Lancaster Cir. at Barnhart Elementary School
  • Rock Point Rd. at Piccowaxen Middle School
  • Billingsley Rd. at Billingsley Elementary School

The La Plata Police Department announced automated speed enforcement cameras will be in the following school zones for the week of July 22-26:

  • Charles Street – Grace Lutheran School
  • Port Tobacco Road – Archbishop Neale School
  • Radio Station Road – La Plata High School

  1. if you venture into Washington, DC, you’re subject to stop sign cameras. I don’t blame you for staying outta Washington, DC

  2. there is a reason to go the speed limit. The police don’t give it to you, your insurance doesn’t give it to you, the states attorney doesn’t give it to you, the judge doesn’t give it to you, the DMV doesn’t give it to you, but there are reasons to go the speed limit.
