CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — The rumble of classic cars will once again roll through Southern Maryland this fall as the 13th Annual Cruisin’ Southern Maryland event hits the road Saturday, Oct. 4. Organizers unveiled the full route this week, highlighting a scenic drive through St. Mary’s County that ends with a salute to local veterans.
The cruise will begin at the Golden Beach Park & Ride in Charlotte Hall, where an opening ceremony is scheduled for 9:10 a.m. before the parade of cars departs at 9:30 a.m. From there, the route winds south through the county, giving drivers and onlookers a chance to enjoy the backroads and waterfront scenery.
Participants will pause for a midday lunch stop in California at the Walmart parking lot on Miramar Lane before continuing north. The cruise concludes at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home, with cars expected to arrive around 1:30 p.m. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m., and hot dogs and refreshments will be served.
The annual event has become a tradition for car enthusiasts and community members alike, combining the love of classic vehicles with a mission to support veterans in Southern Maryland. Organizers say the drive is designed not only to showcase vintage automobiles but also to bring people through parts of the county they may not normally explore.
More information about the event, including registration details, is available at CruisinSOMD.org.

Are they going to have cops there? Because every year they have thousands and thousands of cars coming and going like a bat out of hell. And accidents everywhere and not one single cop to be found. And now they have tripled the traffic and doubled the intersections. Good Luck
