Federal Government

Federal agencies in the Washington, DC area are OPEN under 2 hours DELAYED ARRIVAL and employees have the OPTION FOR UNSCHEDULED LEAVE OR UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK. Employees should plan to arrive for work no more than 2 hours later than they would be expected to arrive.

Calvert County

Health Department

Due to inclement weather, the Health Department will be closed today.

Schools

St. Mary’s County

St. Maryโ€™s Transit System will suspend service beginning at 10 a.m. today. The service is not expected to resume for the remainder of the day.

Due to the inclement weather the St. Andrews Landfill and six (6) convenience centers will remain closed for today.

District Court

Due to the inclement weather the St. Maryโ€™s County District Court will remain closed for today.

Circuit Court

The St. Maryโ€™s County District Courthouse will be closed today.

Following a reassessment of weather and road conditions St. Maryโ€™s County Government has decided to close all administrative offices for the day. Essential employees are required to report as normal or notify your supervisor.

The following delays and schedule changes will be in effect:

โžข St. Maryโ€™s County Public Schools are closed with Code 3 for employees
โžข Non-Public School Transportation will not be provided
โžข St. Maryโ€™s Transit (STS) will operate normally
โžข The six (6) convenience centers and St. Andrews landfill will open at 9:30 a.m.
โžข All Recreation and Parks programs operating in public schools are cancelled. The Leonard Hall, Margaret Brent, Carver, Hollywood Recreation Centers and Chancellor’s Run and Great Mills Swimming Pool will open at 1 p.m. The St. Mary’s Gymnastics Center will open at 4 p.m.
โžข All three senior Activity Centers will open at 1 p.m. and no meals served or delivered
โžข All three St. Maryโ€™s Library locations will open at 1 p.m.
โžข St. Maryโ€™s County Circuit Courthouse will open at 1 p.m. with sessions beginning at 1:30 p.m.
โžข NAS Patuxent River will have a two hour delayed opening

Schools

Employee Code 3: St. Mary’s County Public Schools are closed on Thursday, February 26, 2015. No employees should report to work. Administrative leave will be provided for 12 month employees.

Patuxent Naval Air Station

NAS Pax River Employee Reporting for Thursday, Feb. 26 ย is Delayed Arrival/Unscheduled Leave/Telework. NAS Patuxent River is open on a 2-hour delayed arrival schedule for Feb. 26.

Admin leave will be granted for the hours before the set delayed arrival.

Critical employees must report to work as previously scheduled.

All other employees may take unscheduled leave, telework or leave without pay (LWOP) for the entire day.

Employees choosing not to use unscheduled annual leave, telework, or LWOP for the entire workday should report 2 hour(s) later than 7 a.m., or 2 hour(s) later than their regular arrival time, if their regular arrival time is after 7 a.m. Notify your supervisor of your intentions as soon as possible.

Additional assessment on actual road conditions will take place between 5:30-7 a.m. with an update put out at 7 a.m.
