Towson, MD – Officials hope a conference being held this week in Towson can help educate communities on how to protect children from predators.
The Maryland Child Trafficking Conference is being hosted by the Governorโs Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP), University of Maryland School of Social Work, Maryland Department of Human Services, and Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force.
The third annual Maryland Child Trafficking Conference will feature a variety of panels and keynote speakers who will educate the community on effective responses to human trafficking, the services available to victims, and understanding the psychological impact of trauma on young people in Maryland.
It will be held on Wednesday, August 7ย at Towson University, West Village Commons, 4th Floor Ballroom.
