TRAFFIC UPDATE 8:00 A.M.: TBN has heard from witnesses that traffic is backed up beyond Route 4 in the Southbound lanes of 235 and beyond Greenbriar in the Northbound Lanes of Rt. 235. Other witnesses report that feeder roads in the area including Chancellors Run and Great Mills are also backed up and that area shopping center parking lots are jammed.
Information about the alleged fatal construction accident is still being sought.
Route 235 in both directions is backed up because a construction accident on the base has closed Gate 1. There is heavier than normal traffic on the surrounding roadways as well. Details of the construction accident are sketchy at best. However, TheBAYNET.com has learned that at sometime yesterday a serious accident occurred. The injured male was transported with life threatening injuries.
