The Charles County Department of Planning and Growth Management would like to notify all residents that the following construction will be taking place at the Government Building, 200 Baltimore Street in La Plata, from April 5 through
May 5, 2010:
Reconstruction of New Parking Lot Intersection
The main entrance to the Government Building’s parking lot will be closed to thru traffic beginning on or about April 5, 2010, until or about May 5, 2010, to accommodate the reconstruction of the new entrance. Work will involve installing
new curb, traffic islands, and asphalt paving. Vehicular traffic for the Government Building will be directed to U-turn into Lot C (see Image #1) to access the parking area. The first 10 parking spaces in Lot C will be closed off to facilitate wide turns for larger vehicles.
Customers parking in Lot B will need to use the sidewalk along Washington Ave. for access to the existing Courthouse.
