COPS Unit makes fraud arrest

A victim reported on October 29^th her credit card missing from her handbag. She contacted her bank and discovered several fraudulent transactions had been made using the card in the Lexington Park area. An investigation conducted by Sergeant Safford of the Lexington Park COPs UNIT revealed suspect Alexa Rayven Nutter, 20, of Lexington Park, used the victim’s credit card at several businesses in St. Mary’s County totaling over $700. Fraud and theft charges are pending application to the District Court Commissioner by Sergeant Safford.
