MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A crash at the Maryland International Raceway has left what is being described at “traumatic injuries.”

At approximately 6:46 p.m. on March 7, the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to reports of a 70MPH crash at the MIR, which led to requests for the victim to be flown out. Maryland State Police’s Trooper 7, which had been on standby, was brought in approximately 15 minutes after.

At this time, we do not have a status on the patient’s injuries.

This is a developing story. We will continue to provide updates as we receive them.
