At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, Emergency units from Lexington Park, Hollywood and Bay District responded to a serious two-vehicle accident in the area of 23799 Three Notch Road in Hollywood. A truck and a passenger car had collided causing one vehicle to overturn and left a crash victim in the second vehicle trapped.
One patient was trapped inside a Honda sedan for over 10 minutes until rescue crews were able to extricate the heavily pinned victim. Rescue workers called for the woman to be airlifted. A male patient driving a blue Chevrolet Truck was treated on the scene and transported to St. Mary’s Hospital.
Authorities continue to investigate. The roadway was closed in the northbound direction while emergency crews treated and transported accident victims.
No word if any charges have been made.
