Presented by Village Tattoo of Waldorf, the first-ever Cruel Summer Festival takes place August 1–3, 2025, at the Jaycees Event Center in Waldorf, Maryland. The event will feature star-power tattoo artists, including fan favorites from Ink Master—bringing nationally recognized talent to Southern Maryland.

Village Tattoo is bringing Cruel Summer to Southern Maryland because they recognize not everyone can travel for big events like this. Now, the region gets to experience something fresh and exciting—close to home.
“We wanted to bring something of this caliber outside the city,” they shared. “It’s a way to reach people who might never get to experience an event like this—and it just felt right to bring it home to our community.”

Captain & Maybelle
America’s Favorite Sideshow Couple
Captain & Maybelle, known as “America’s Favorite Sideshow Couple,” are bringing their wild stunts and sharp humor to the Cruel Summer stage. Captain—dubbed the world’s Most Extreme Sword Swallower—has showcased his fire-breathing and death-defying skills in blockbuster films like Catching Fire, Jumanji, and Megalopolis. Maybelle, equally bold, starred as the Bearded Lady in the horror hit Hellfest.
Together, they’ve performed on Season 6 of America’s Got Talent and headlined iconic sideshows like Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Their fearless chemistry and jaw-dropping acts make them a must-see all weekend long.

Camille Zamboni
Contortionist, Foot Archer, and Sword Swallower
A foot archer, sword swallower, and master contortionist from Appalachia, Camille Zamboni isn’t just a performer—she’s a force of nature. She can shoot a bullseye with her feet while balanced on her hands, then twist into impossible shapes that defy logic. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, she’ll take it up another level—swallowing swords that leave the crowd holding its breath. Tattoo Competitions
Daily Tattoo of the Day contests spotlight the creativity and craftsmanship of both artists and clients, with full award ceremonies held each evening. First and second-place winners will be recognized in every category, making it a celebration of collaboration.

Summer Sirens Pin-Up Contests
Sunday, Aug. 3 at 3:00 p.m.
The Summer Sirens Pin-Up Contest is all about celebrating individuality, creativity, and that irresistible, dangerous charm. Whether you’re channeling a classic cigarette girl, a rockabilly greaser, or just bringing your own twist to retro style, this is your chance to pull out your favorite look and strut your stuff.
Contestants will compete for the titles of Miss Summer Siren and Pin-Up Power Couple. Each first-place winner will receive a $500 cash prize and a featured photoshoot with 24/7 Ink Mag, while second-place winners take home $250. All participants will be included in a group photo for the magazine, and all winners will receive their own individual spotlight feature.
Whether solo or as a duo, Cruel Summer can’t wait to see everyone’s style, confidence, and creativity hit the stage.
