MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – The Silver Hill Lions Club will bring two nights of wreckage and roaring engines to Potomac Speedway as its annual Demolition Derby returns Saturday, Sept. 6, and Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025.
The fundraiser features multiple classes of competition, ranging from youth heats to stock full-size, with kids’ power wheels races and a powder puff division adding to the family-friendly atmosphere. Drivers will battle until only one car remains running, giving fans the classic spectacle of crunching metal and last-car-standing drama.
Tickets will be sold at the gate for $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 3 to 10. Children under 3 will be admitted free. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the first cars roll out at 7 p.m.
Proceeds from the derby benefit the Lions Club’s local programs, supporting community needs while delivering one of the most anticipated events of the year at the Budds Creek dirt track.
