On May 6, Dfc. K Meyer was arresting a subject on an open bench warrant.
Thomas Allen Proffer, 25 of Great Mills, a friend of the arrestee, confronted and attempted to interfere with the arrest and was told by Dfc. Meyer to leave. Proffer refused and began yelling obscenities, which drew the attention of others living in the Greenview Village apartment complex.
Proffer was arrested and charged with hindering an arrest, failing to obey a lawful order of a police officer and disorderly conduct.
