At 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, the longest period of daylight savings time in history comes to an end. Remember to set your clocks back one hour and take advantage of an additional hour of sleep. It also a great time to check your smoke alarm batteries, change your furnace filters and to make sure your chimney’s are free from soot and debris in order to help reduce the number of house fires that occur at the start of the heating season.
