On January 10 at 11:34 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers initiated a traffic stop on a Volvo near the intersection of Crain Highway and Cedarville Road in Waldorf. A check of the car’s registration revealed the car had been stolen from Baltimore.
The driver fled, ramming a police car. Officers performed a PIT maneuver, causing the driver, Aaron Eugene Monroe, 19 of Washington, D.C. to stop.
Monroe was arrested and charged with theft and numerous traffic violations.
