Driver Flown Out After Overturn Crash In Ridge

RIDGE, Md. — Emergency personnel responded to a serious single motor vehicle accident on Three Notch Road near D Bryans Lane on June 30, 2024, at approximately 7:35 a.m.

First responders found the vehicle off the roadway, having rolled over with the driver sustaining injuries.

EMS evaluated the patient on scene and due to the severity of the injuries, requested a MEDEVAC. Firefighters established a landing zone at St. Michael’s Catholic Church for Maryland State Police, Trooper 7, to airlift the 36-year-old male patient to UM Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.

  1. Mechanical issue , medical issue maybe . Alcohol / drugs maybe .
    It is a Straight roadway. Inattentive driving and speed more likely. Debris field , distance of travel and extensive damage from several rolls indicate speed was major factor. Hope he learns and makes it ..

  2. Cell phones …the bane of driving. Whatever is on your phone, will STILL be one your phone(!) once you safely reach your destination. Look at it AFTER you have stopped driving.

  3. We should change St. Mary’s County’s name to Accident County. Nothing but accident after accident after accident… The auto insurance companies keep raising our rates to cover the costs of these accidents. If only people would drive correctly, stop being in a hurry, and put their phones away, there would be far less accidents.
