Driver Flown To Trauma Center After Car Hits Tree, Overturns In Waldorf

WALDORF, Md. — A single-vehicle crash left a car overturned after striking a tree Saturday morning in Waldorf.

The crash occurred around 11:52 a.m. on March 28, 2026, in the 15000 block of Poplar Hill Road.

Callers reported a vehicle had rolled over multiple times after hitting a tree, with at least one person trapped inside. Emergency crews responded and worked to extricate the occupant from the vehicle.

Due to the severity of the crash, a medevac was requested, and firefighters established a landing zone nearby. The patient was flown by U.S. Park Police Eagle 2 to UM Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.

Fire and EMS units remained on the scene while law enforcement investigated the crash.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
