MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Mechanicsville that left a woman injured.
On February 26, 2026, at approximately 10:10 a.m., first responders were dispatched to Mechanicsville Road in the area of Gander Court for a reported crash.
Crews arrived to find a single vehicle overturned off the roadway with the sole occupant, a female driver, trapped inside. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extricated her within approximately 20 minutes.
Emergency medical personnel evaluated the 42-year-old female patient at the scene before requested a medevac transport.
Firefighters established a landing zone nearby for Maryland State Police Trooper 7. The patient was subsequently airlifted to UM Capital Region Medical Center, a designated trauma center, for further treatment.
Mechanicsville Road was shut down in the area of the crash while crews operated and cleared the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
