At 6:09 p.m. on Dec. 3, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 17800 block of Duvall Drive in Cobb Island for the report that someone in a truck struck a trash bin in front of the residence and fled.
Cpl. D. Fromme located the truck near Main Avenue and Duvall Drive. The truck stopped in a nearby driveway. Officer J. Clagett responded to the scene and determined the driver, Stephen James Wise, 21, of Cobb Island was intoxicated.
Wise was arrested and charged with driving while impaired, driving under the influence of alcohol and negligent driving. He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner.
