
Dunkirk, MD – The seasons are changing, and Dunkirk Baptist Church is entering a season of change as well. After eighteen months under the faithful leadership of Interim Pastor Fred Dyer, the church welcomes Dr. Ben Holland as new Senior Pastor on Sunday, March 19, 2017.ย
Pastor Ben Holland has been serving in ministry in California for the past ten years.ย He grew up in an Air Force family but claims Fuquay-Varina, NC as his hometown.ย He earned his BBA and MBA at Campbell University.ย In 2000, he answered Godโs call to vocational ministry and enrolled at Dallas Theological Seminary.ย Most recently, he completed his DMin at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.ย
Ben and his wife Lindsay have been married for twelve years and have three young children. โCalvert County already feels like home,10:30 AM,โ Ben said during his first week visiting Dunkirk. โWe look forward to growing and serving and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.โ ย Chairman of Deacons, Tim Berry said, โWe are excited about Pastor Benโs vision for our church and our ministry to our community.ย He has a true servantโs heart, a love for Godโs Word, and a desire to see people become – and grow as – disciples of Jesus Christ.โ
Pastor Ben will begin his tenure at Dunkirk Baptist Church with a journey through the book of Romans in his first sermon series at DBC: โGodโs Path to Salvationโ Sun10:30 AM. This is an exciting time in the life of Dunkirk Baptist Church and the community as they begin Easter Holy Week with the following events:
Palm Sunday Worship in the Sanctuary – Sunday, April 9: 10:30 AMย
Good Friday Passover Seder led by DBCโs Interim Pastor – Friday, April 14 at 7 PMย – Fred Dyer in the DBC Fellowship Hall.ย ย
Annual Easter Eggstravaganza – Saturday, April 15 from 10AM-12PM – Free family fun including an egg hunt, crafts, story time, snack and a hop along the Romanโs trail to salvation.
Easter Sunday, April 16ย Dunkirk Baptist Church will have 3 services:
6:30AM: Sonrise outside of DBC; 9AM & 10:30AM:
Easter worship in the DBC Sanctuary
