WALDORF, Md. — A vehicle fire early Friday morning, Aug. 1, 2025, drew a multi-agency response to the 3400 block of Fordington Place in Waldorf, where a pickup truck caught fire in a townhouse driveway. No injuries were reported.
The call came in around 3:50 a.m. reporting a truck fully engulfed in flames. Responding firefighters quickly arrived to find the vehicle on fire directly in front of a two-story townhouse.
Crews worked to extinguish the fire and protect the adjacent home from exposure damage. Interior searches of the residence returned negative results, and the fire was brought under control without incident.
The fire was confined to the vehicle, and no structural extension was reported. The cause remains under investigation.
